Tamworth AC athletes took part in Match 4 of the West Midland Young Athletes Cross Country League at Abington Park Northampton on a cold, rainy day last weekend.
First off were the Under 17 Women with Charlotte Bush and Emily Findlater. Charlote was first home for Tamworth in 9th place with Emily finishing 30th. With one more Match to go Charlotte is now in 12th position in the individual Under 17 Women league table.
Next off were the Under 11 Boys. Jacob Williams finishing in 81st place, Aiden Mason in 84th, Joseph Gorst in 95th and finally Oisin Au in 122nd.
James Oakley running in the Under 17 Men race came 24th and Tom Holloway was 44th. With a row of consistent finishes James is now 23rd in the individual tables.
The Under 11 Girls ran next with Freya Cole in 46th place, Annie Boonham in 47th then came Daisy Smith in 59th, Connie Allen in 79th and finally Angelica Rakmee in 93rd.
In the Under 15 Boys race Max Kent ran a strong race finishing in 13th place. This puts him in 10th position in the individual league table.
The Under 13 Girls were next with Abi Hamer finishing in a strong 16th place followed by Emily Pearce in 35th, Tegan Vickery in 53rd and Ellie Gauntlett in 66th. Abi Hamer now stands at an excellent 11th place in the individual standings
Ben Edwards in the Under 13 Boys race finished a very strong 9th with James Stretton following up in 23rd place. Harry Chesterton was 30th, Oran Au 45th, Kian Dickson 68th and Caydon Fairburn came in 76th. In the individual league standings Ben Edwards is now 11th, James Stretton is 15th and Harry Chesterton is 24th. The excellent placings of the whole team mean also that the Under 13 Boys team is 4th in the team standings.
In the Under 15 Girls race Eve Clawley finished in 7th place which means that she is now in 7th place in the individual competition. Katie Stretton finished in 49th place.
Overall the Tamworth AC team stands at 9th place in the league table with one more match to go at Aldersley Stadium, Wolverhampton on 12th February.
