The Schools Inter County Cross Country Competition took place at Sandwell Valley Country Park last Saturday. Competitors from six counties took part Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands Cheshire, Shropshire and Surrey.

Athletes from Tamworth Athletics Club took part in the event six athletes wearing the Staffordshire shirt and seven wearing the Warwickshire shirt.

In the Minor Girls race Emily Pearce and Tegan Vickery represented Staffordshire coming home in 30^th and 36^th place respectively.  Ellie Gauntlett (Warwickshire) came 50^th.

In the Minor Boys race, Harry Chesterton (Staffs) finished a respectable 17^th and James Stretton (Warwicks) was close behind in 20^th.  Kai Buckley (Warwicks) finished in 62^nd place.

In the Junior Girls race we had two runners, Abi Hamer (Warwicks) clocked 29^th and Katie Stretton (Warwicks) was 68^th.

In the Junior Boys race Ben Edwards (Staffs) came 40^th and James Walker (Warwicks) finished 53^rd.

Eve Clawley (Staffs) was the sole Tamworth AC runner in the Intermediate Girls race finishing in a good 15^th.place in front of all the other Staffordshire girls

In the Intermediate Boys race Max Kent (Staffs) finished in 21^st place and James Oakley (Warwicks) finished in 29^th place.
