Taking place at Coundon Hall Coventry at the first meeting of the women’s XC league, Division 1 and 2 all ran together with a record number of 465 runners the biggest field yet.

Tamworth Ladies who are in Division 2 did themselves proud by finishing in a great team effort of 13th place out of 23 clubs.

First home for the ladies was Megan Paynter-Hetherington in 19th position in a time of 24 mins10secs.  Next was Katherine Handley Bradley in 64th in a time of 27min03secs and just behind Katherine chasing hard was Debbie Hetherington in 67th in a time of 27min 11secs. The 4th runner making her team debut and putting in a gallant effort was Nicky Cummings finishing 83rd in a time of 27mins 56.

It was a very good team effort from just 4 ladies.The course was 3.7 miles and was very flat.

The next meeting is at Stratford on Avon 1st of December.
