Midland Woman’s Cross Country League 16 January 2016

Due to illness a rather depleted Woman’s XC team made the long journey down the M5 to Blackridge, Gloucester. Ran over a 3 3/4 mile / 2 lap course the Tamworth ladies acquitted themselves very well in the heavy conditions. Kate Malloy lead to Tamworth ladies home with a very good run, racing strongly throughout to finish in very creditable 121st place, Lisa Stretton racing in her 2nd XC race of the season made a big improvement to finish in 184th place. Fiona Meldrum continued her come back with another good performance, finishing in 223rd place. Dawn Cross has an equally good run, working hard throughout to finish in 244th place.
At the time of going to press the Woman’s team result was not declared by Midland Counties Athletics.
The last race of the league series takes place on Saturday 13th Feb, at Wolverhampton
