Vets League – 18th May 2022- Burton
Match 2 of the Midlands Veterans Track and Field League North Division.
Match 2 felt like a re-run of the first match, being back at Burton so quickly after match 1. Colin Pleass won his sprint again, this time the 200m M70 race in 36.3

Neil Rudd came second in his 200m race, followed almost immediately by a second place in the 800m, such is the nature of the timetabling in these short matches. There were second places for Howard Bush, the Team Manager, in the 800m and Derek Bolton in the 3000m. This week’s relay was a 4x400m in which the Tamworth team managed a respectable 4th place. Greg Richards once again took the Javelin win, this time in the M35 category which was to be his only event of the evening.
Between them, ladies trio, (yes you read it right we had three ladies!) amassed 46 points on the track, covering 7 events. An outstanding achievement which has not been seen by a ladies vets team for a while. First places came for Nicky Brady and Rebecca Hallam in the 200m and the 3k. Nicky came second and Sarah Jemmet third in their respective age categories in 800m also.
