Tamworth AC’s cross country season may now have finished, but a number of the club’s athletes are yet to hang up their spikes for the summer, with selection for the coveted Inter-Counties and English Schools Championships this month.
Inter-Counties Championships
The Inter-Counties Championships in Loughborough on 7th March will see Max Kent (Under-20 Men), Ben Edwards (Under-17 Men) and Jessica Salt (Under-13 Girls) representing Staffordshire. Charlotte Perry (Under-17 Women) will be lining up for Warwickshire. Sophie Perry, Natasha Lee and Dominic Harper made the reserves list.
English Schools Championships
The English Schools Championships follow a week later in Liverpool on 14th March. Tegan Vickery (Intermediate), Lottie McLaren and Chloe Sharman (both Junior) will run for Staffordshire. Sophie Perry (Senior) will join the Warwickshire team alongside Charlotte Perry. Phoebe O’Connor made the reserves for Staffordshire.
Special congratulations to Charlotte Perry on being the only Tamworth athlete selected for both events Inter-Counties and English Schools championships.
