Midlands Track & Field League Division 6, Kettering, 19 May 2019

The Tamworth AC Senior B-Team kicked off their Midlands Track & Field League Division 6 Campaign at Kettering.

In the Men’s 100 metres, Christian Bruss ran 14.8secs and Paul Tasker continued his comeback from injury with a season best time of 13.7secs. Paul also ran 26.0secs in the 200 metres with Owen Williams running 29.9secs and a PB of 59.3secs in the 400 metres. Adam Smyth ran in the 5,000m and finished with a time of 18:24.5

For the Women, Nicola Brady won the 400 metres comfortably with a 5 second lead and a time of 65.8secs. Sophie Perry clocked a time of 2:45.2 in the 800 metres and sister Charlotte finished the 1,500 metres in 5:34.1.

In the field events, Christian Bruss jumped 3.77 metres in the Long Jump and Paul Tasker threw 28.99 with the Javelin. Sian Hubbard cleared 2.50 metres to win the Pole Vault, threw 5.10 metres in the Shot Put and 13.35 metres in the Discus.

The Women’s 4 x 100 metres relay team took third place with a combined time of 59.9 seconds.

The next Midlands Division 6 match will be at Nottingham on Sunday 16th June.
