The medical teams had an easier day than last year as conditions at Uttoxeter this time around were ideal for running in the Half Marathon, 10km and junior events.

The Half Marathon, starting and finishing at Uttoxeter Racecourse, made up the second race in the Burton and District Summer League. Ben Evans set the lead pace early on but faded in the later stages of the race to finish 4^th with 1:21:09 and win the Men’s 40-44 category.

Derek Bolton continued his steady improvement in results finishing the tough hilly course with a time of 1:36:32; taking 3^rd place in the Men’s 55-59 category. Rebecca Hobbs completed the Tamworth line up, crossing the line on 1:46:06.

In the 2km Junior Race, Charlotte Evans crossed the line with a time of 10:36.

The next race in the Burton and District Summer League is the Burton 10 Mile on Sunday 19^th May; incorporating the Midland Masters 10 Mile Championships and Michael Kelsall family Fun Run (approx. 2 miles). Further details including entries here.
