Late Summer News from the Charnwood AC Open Series at the Paula Radcliffe Stadium Loughborough and the Lichfield Fun Run and 10K.

Tamworth AC athletes recently took advantage of the recent open meeting at Loughborough.

Under 11 William Newman earned a personal best of 13.34secs in the 75m race.  Under 15 Arantxa Middleton ran in two events, in the 100m race her time was 13.93secs and in the 300m race her time was  45.0secs.

V35 Nicola Brady gained a personal best of 67.75secs in the 400m race and under 20 Andrew Woods in the 400m race had a time of 56.51secs

Under 23 Tom Ainsworth had a time of 50.31secs in his 400m race while under 17 Sophie Perry had another consistent run of 2mins 42.9secs in the 800m and  under 17 Charlotte Perry ran an excellent 1500m to gain a personal best of 5mins 28.6secs.

Under 13 Lottie McLaren ran in the 800m and her time was 2mins 34.2secs and finally under 15 Ruby Spencer had a throw of 25.21m in the javelin event.

In Lichfield recently Tamworth AC athletes took part in the Lichfield fun run and the 10K race in aid of various local charities.

In the Fun Run race winner by a considerable distance was u15 Ben Edwards from Tamworth AC , u15 Lucy Semple of Birchfield Harriers was the first female across the line and then the next six females home were Tamworth AC girls u13 Lottie McLaren, u11 Jessica, u13 Phoebe O’Connor, u15 Tegan Vickery, u13 Natasha Lee, u13 Daisy Smith, with u11 Sofia Farmer and u11 Robyn Lee taking 9th and 10th place.

In the 10K were four Tamworth AC athletes. u17 James Walker was 83rd male with a time of 45mins 9secs, v50 Caroline West was 35th female with a time of 51mins32secs, v35 Sylvain Letendart was 313th male with a time of 53mins 27secs  and Katie Wickett was 41st female with a time of 53mins 28secs.
