In the continuing heatwave the Tamworth AC athletes competed in the final match of the YDL Upper Midland League 1B at the Northwood Stadium in Stoke on Trent. The spectators had a lovely day watching some decisive victories by the Tamworth AC Team who finished in 4^th place in the overall league table behind Cannock and Stafford AC, City of Stoke AC and Telford AC. Royal Sutton Coldfield and Tipton Harriers finished 5^th and 6^th respectively.

Jacob Spencer running in the 400m U20’s race came 1st with a time of 50.43secs and in the U17’s 200m he came 1st in a time of 23.02secs

In the 800m U20’s race Andrew Woods came 3rd with a time of 2mins 09.0secs and in his 400m U20’s race he came 2nd with a time of 54.8secs

Field events specialist Ethan Aidney was 1st in the U20’s shot with a throw of 9.62m and he came 1st in the Javelin with a throw of 38.16m.  In the hammer he threw 18.66m coming 2nd and in the discus he came 3rd with a throw of 16.42m

In the 4 x 400m U20 Men’s relay the Tamworth team of WOODS, SHERRIFF, SPENCER, and KENT came 1st with a time of 3mins 37.2secs

Alice Mellor came 1st in her U20’s 100m race with a time of 13.1secs and in her 200m race she came 1st with a time of 26.5secs

In her 100m U20’s race Rachel West came 1st with a time of 13.9secs and in her 200m race she was 4^th with a time of 29.3secs

Eve Clawley running in her U20’s 400m race came 1^st with a time of 59.1secs and in her U17’s 200m race she was 3^rd with a time of 26.6secs

In her U20’s 200m race Isabelle Neville was1st with a time of 26.03secs and she came 2^nd in her 400m Hurdles race with a time of 67.80secs

Emily Findlater in her U20’s 400m hurdles race was 1^st with a time of 70.3secs and in her 400m race she was also 1^st with a time of 61.3secs. In the Discus she was 1^st with a throw of 13.01m and in the javelin she came 5^th with a throw of 10.07m

In the U20’s 800m Sian Lewis came 2^nd with a time of 2mins 26.8secs and in the U17’s 300m she came 3^rd with a time of 45.0secs

Bethany Devonshire in her U20’s 100m hurdles race came 2^nd with a time of 19.5secs and in the high jump she came 2^nd.

In her U20’s 100m Hurdles race Olivia Woolley came 1^st with a time of 21.6secs and in the shot she came 2^nd with a throw of 4.89m. In the hammer she threw 15.74m which won her 3^rd place, in the javelin she came 2^nd with a throw of 9.51m and in the Discus she was 3^rd with a throw of 13.13m

In the 4 x 100m U20’s relay the Tamworth team of WEST, NEVILLE, DEVONSHIRE and MELLOR came 2^nd with a time of 52.60secs

In the 4 x 400m U20’s relay the Tamworth team of CLAWLEY Eve, FINDLATER, NEVILLE and MELLOR came 1^st with a time of $mins 13.3secs

James Sherriff in his 200m U17 race came 1stwith a time of 24.04secs and in his 400m U17 race he came 2^nd in 53.1secs

In his 400m U17 race Owen Williams came 4^th with a time of 59.6secs

James Walker in his 800m U17 race came 4^th in 2mins 26.9secs and in his 1500m U17 race he came 2nd in 5mins 03.7secs

In his 1500m U17 race Max Kent came 3^rd in 4mins 35.8secs

Curtis Lawrence in His High Jump event came 4^th with a leap of 1.50m and in the triple jump he came 4^th with a jump of 9.08m.  In the Javelin he was 4^th with a throw of 22.36m

In the 4 x 100m U17’s relay The3 Tamworth team of  LAWRENCE, SPENCER, SHERRIFF, and KENT came 4^th in 48.2 secs

In her 100m U17’s race Sophie Pasley came 3^rd with a time of 14.7secs and in the 80m hurdles she came she came 4^th in 14.1secs and in the 300m hurdles she was 3^rd in 6.0secs

Katie Stretton in her U17’s 300m race came 4^th in 52.6secs and in her 800m race she came 2^nd in 2mins 48.5secs.  In the long jump she came 3^rd with a leap of 3.19m

In her 800m U17’s race Sophie Perry came 5^th with a time of 2mins 46.2secs

Charlotte Perry came 4^th in her 1500m race with a time of 5mins 32.9secs

Gabrielle Degg in the Long Jump U17’s came 4^th with a jump of 3.95m and in the high jump she was 3^rd with a jump of 1.30m.  In the triple jump she came 2nd

In 4 x 100m U17’s relay the Tamworth team of DEGG, CLAWLEY, LEWIS, and PASLEY came 5^th in 55.5secs

And finally in the 4 x 300m U17’s relay team of PERRY S, PERRY C, LEWIS and STRETTON came 4^th in 3mins 15.8secs
