In the last meeting of the YDL at Stourport the weather posed problems for all the athletes on the day.  A gusting and variable wind blowing into the faces of the runners on the home straight sometimes made times slower than normal also affecting all the field events. The Tamworth athletes made the best of the conditions with sound performances throughout. Finishing 4th in the league behind Solihull and Small Heath AC, Telford AC and Kidderminster and Stourport AC brought a good conclusion to the YDL season.

Under 13 Girls                                              

In the 75m A race Saoirse Au came 4th in a time of 11.6secs, and in the 150m B race she came 4th with a personal best time of 22.8 secs. In the long jump A event she came 3rd with a jump of 3.84m

Annie Boonham in the 75m  B race was 6th with a time of 12.2secs and in the 800m  B race she had a time of 02mins 50.9secs. She was 3rd in the long jump B event with a leap of 3.27

In the 75m non scoring race Angelica Rakmee had a personal best time of 11.8secs and she came 2nd in the shot A event with a personal best throw of 5.59m

Lottie McLaren came 2nd in the 150m A race with a time of 22.5secs and in the 800m A race she came 1st with a run of 2mins 34.8secs.   She was 1st in the high jump A with season’s best jump of 1.25m

In the 1200m A race Kirsten McLaren came 2nd with a time of 4mins 22.2secs.

Daisy Smith ran in the 1200m B race finishing in 3rd place with a personal best time of 4mins 41.3secs and in the javelin A event she had another personal best with a throw of 10.24m

In the 70m Hurdles  A race Charley O’Neill came 1st with a time of 13.4secs and in the high jump  B event she came 1st with a personal best leap of 1.15m

In the 4x100m relay the Tamworth team came 3rd with a time of 60.3secs and in the 4x300m relay they came 6th with a time of 3mins 30.8sec

Under 15 Girls

Arantxa Middleton in the 100m B race came 2nd with a time of 14.7secs and in the 200m A race she was 3rd with a time of 28.7secs.  In the discus B event she had a personal best throw of 10.92m

In the 300m  A race Libbie Price had a time of      50.9secs and she came 2nd in the 800m B race with a personal best time of 2mins 35.3secs. She also had a personal best in the shot A event with a throw of 4.56m

In the 800m A race Abigail Hamer came 1st with a time of2mins 25.1secs

Tegan Vickery in the 1500m A race had a time of 5mins 39.2secs and team mate Ellie Gauntlett in the 1500m B race was 3rd with a time of 5mins 45.3secs.

Niamh Kilgallen in the 75m hurdles had a 1st with a time of 12.6secs and she also came 1st in the high jump with a leap of 1.55m. In the 100m A race she came 4th with a time of 14.8secs

Sian Hubbard came 1st in the Pole Vault A with a vault of 2.60m

In the javelin A event Amy Cook came 1st with a throw of 32.27m and in the discus she came 3rd with a personal best throw of 20.51m.  For her first time competing in the pole vault B Amy took 1st place with personal best vault of 1.9m

Team mate Ruby Spencer came 1st in the javelin B event with a throw of 22.56m

In the 4x100m relay the Tamworth team came 4th with a time of 57.6secs

Under 13 Boys

In the 1500m  A race Luca Bradley came 3r with a time of 5mins 16.4secs and in the 100m A race he had a season’s best time of 15.8secs.

Jacob Williams in the 100m B race had a time of 16.2secs and in the 200m A race he had a time of 32.4secs.  In the long jump B event he was 2nd with a leap of 361m

In the 800m   A race Toby Wooton came 2nd in a time of 2mins 36.3secs, in the shot he had a throw of 5.04m and in the long jump he had a personal best jump of 3.69m

Under 15 Boys

Oran Au in the 200m A race had a time of 28.2secs and in the 800m A race he scored a personal best time of 2mins 32.8secs.  In the long jump A event he had a leap of 3.91m

In the 300m A race James Stretton had a time of 50.3secs and in the shot he had a personal best throw of 6.41m

Camron Harrison in the pole vault A came 1st with a personal best vault of 2.7m and in the hammer he came 3rd with a personal best throw of 20.24m
