Tamworth AC under 13 girls had good results at the Midlands County 5k Championships at the weekend. The race was held in Sutton Park in freezing conditions.
In spite of falling over at the start Natasha Lee, with two bloodied elbows and road rash to the hip, got back up and ran bravely to finish first girl back for Tamworth in 5th place. Team mates Lottie McLaren finished in 6th place and Beth Metcalfe came 10th.
As a team the trio finished in a fantastic 3rd place behind Halesowen ACC and Tipton Harriers.
