In his 100m race Harry Cox came 6th with a PB of 12.4secs

Daniel James came 2nd in his 100m race with a time of 12.1secs and in his 200m race Daniel came 3rd with a time of 25.2secs. Daniel came 3rd in this Long Jump with a jump of 5.13m

Christian Bruss clocked a NS time of 13.4secs and in the 400m race he was 3rd with a SB time of 62.0secs. In his Long Jump he came 4th with a jump of 3.72m

Jake Allman ran in his 200m race coming 3rd with a time of 23.7secs and in his 400m race Jake came 2nd with a time of 51.8secs

In the 800m race Adam Smyth was 5th with a time of 2mins 16.8secs and in the Triple Jump Adam came 3rd with a jump of 11.25m

Steven Gunn in his 800m race came 2nd with a PB time 2mins 23.4secs and in his 1500m race he came 5th with a time of 5mins 8.8secs

Derek Bolton was 4th in his 1500m with a PB time of 5mins 30.0secs and in his 3000m race Derek came 4th with a time of 12mins 6.9secs

Andrew Woods in his 3000m race was 6th with a PB time of 11mins 6.1secs

In the 110m hurdles Adam Young was 1st with a time of 19.2secs and he came 1st in his High Jump leaping to a best height of 1.78m

Lewis Johnson leapt to 1.65m in his high jump coming 1st and in his Hammer he threw a PB of 20.78m taking 1st.

Richard Johnson in his Shot Putt came 3rd with a throw of 7.91m and in his Discus Richard had a throw of 22.75m to take 4th place. In his Hammer event he had a throw of 21.05m taking 3rd place

In his Shot Putt Stephen Hollis (F46) came 3rd with a throw of 6.91m and in his Discus he took 2nd place with a throw of 18.87m. In his Javelin he threw 29.27m taking 1st
Luke James in the Discus NS had a throw of 20.39m and in the Discus Luke came 1st with a PB throw of 40.31m

In the 4 x 100m men’s relay the Tamworth Men were 2nd with a time of 48.0secs and in the 4 x 400m men’s relay the Tamworth team came 1st with a time of 3mins 46.6secs

Women

Eve Clawley came 1st in her 800m race with a time of 2mins 21.7secs and in her 1500m she came 3rd with a time of 5mins 22.8secs. In her Triple Jump Eve came 1st with a jump of 8.43m

Charlotte Barnard was 3rd in her 100m race with a time of 13.4secs and in the Long Jump she came 3rd with a PB jump of 4.08m. In her Triple Jump Charlotte leapt out to 8.60m coming 3rd

In her 100m race Rachel West was 2nd with a time of 14.1secs and she had a time of 29.2secs in her 200m race finishing 4th.

Hope Spooner had a time of 15.3secs in her 100m NS race and in her 200m NS race Hope had a time of 32.0secs

Lauren Swindell came 3rd in her 200m Race with a time of 30.7sec. In the 400m race Lauren came 4th with a time of 69.5secs. Lauren in her Javelin had a PB of 22.03m taking 2nd place

Caroline West gained a PB of 14mins 9.8secs in her 3000m race
Field specialist Laura Allen ran in her 3000m race with a SB time of 16mins 30.6secs and in the Discus she came 1st with a throw of 20.13m. In the Hammer NS Laura had a throw of 20.78m

New girl Hollie McKay came 2nd in her Long Jump with a PB jump of 3.04m

In her Shot Putt Sophie Allen threw a SB of 6.29m winning 4th place and in the Discus NS she threw a SB of 16.56m. Sophie came 2nd in her Hammer with a throw of 31.02m

Carmen Hollis in her Shot Putt had a Sb of 6.15m putting her in 1st place and in her Discus she came 1st with a throw of 15.76m. Carmen had a PB throw of 27.12m taking 1st place in her Hammer event and rounded off the day throwing her Javelin out to a PB of 15.04m taking 2nd place.

In the women’s 4 x 100m Relay the Tamworth team came 3rd with a time of 57.1secs and in the women’s  4 x 400m the Tamworth team came 1st with a time of 4mins 44.4secs

  1. It’s great to see athletics taking place in a town the size of Tamworth. Television coverage conce.trates so much on the elite with some commentators referring to “poorer athletes” in any given event. Club athletes train and perform week in week out and are the lifeblood of the sport.
