Tamworth athletes were out in force again this weekend preparing for the summer season at the Spring Spruce open meeting in Nottingham, with challenging blustery conditions

Isla Crameri was disappointed with her pole vault of 2.10m but she ran close to her pb in a strong headwind the 100m with a time of 14.83secs and 15 mins later ran her first 300m finishing in 47.93secs
Ellie Gauntlett ran a pb of 24.45secs in 150m and also a pb of 2:49.28 in the 800m.
Hannah Evans ran a pb of 30.36secs in the 200m and 15.08secs into a strong headwind in the 100m. She then went on to the hammer with a throw of 19.68.
Beth Winstone won a new pb in the 200m in 31.84secs and also a pb of 15.44secs in the 100m
Tegan Vickery ran a well-paced race in the 1200m to come within one second of her pb in windy conditions 4mins 40.18.
Ruby Spencer had a pb throw of 22.95m in the U13 javelin
Amy Cook in the U15 girls javelin had a throw of 24.25m
