Athletes representing Tamworth AC took part in the 1st Charnwood AC open series at the weekend. For some of the athletes it was the first track and field event of the season. A blustery day meant that all the sprint runs times came in as wind assisted, nevertheless the athletes made the most of the opportunity to see how their winter training had faired.
In the under 13 Girls events there was Emily Pearce, Tegan Vickery and Ruby Coldwell
In the Under 15 Girls events we saw Isla Crameri, Niamh Kilgallen, Sophie Perry, Charlotte Perry, Sian Hubbard and Amy Cook
The Under 17 Women were Lucy Wheeler, Eve Clawley and Lauren Swindell.
Isabelle Neville ran in the Under 20 women group and Thomas Randolph was in the Under 20 Men group.
The team achieved lots of PB’s and SB’s in their various events.
In the Under 13 Girls Emily Pearce and Tegan Vickery had personal bests in the 1500m and Ruby Coldwell had a personal best in the pole vault.
In the Under 15 Girls Niamh Kilgallen had a season’s best in the 100m, and a personal best in the 75m hurdles. Isla Crameri had a season’s best in the 100m and the Long Jump and a personal best in the Pole Vault. Sophie Perry had a seasons best in the 800m, Charlotte Perry had a season’s best in the 1500m and Amy Cook had a season’s best in the 200m
In the Under 17 Women, Lucy Wheeler had a personal best in the 100m, Eve Clawley had personal bests in the 200m and the 800m and Lauren Swindell had a season’s best in the Javelin.
In the Under 20 Women Isabelle Neville had a personal Best in the 400m and in the Under 20 men Thomas Randolph had a personal best in the 400m
