Tamworth senior woman fielded a depleted team at the 4rd fixture of the Midland Woman’s XC Lg.
In a large field of over 350 starters, Katherine Bradley, Lisa Stretton & Laura Lewis all ran extremely well over the very testing and wet the two lap, undulating, 6Km course. Running within reach of one another for much of the race the trio worked hard off each other to produce very good performances. Katherine Bradley was first counter home in 63rd place, just ahead of Lisa Stretton in 71st place and ably backed-up by Laura Lewis in 90th place. ‘All three girl’s should be very pleased with their performances over the season’ team manager Paul Tasker commented, “I am really happy for the girl’s with their performances, all three of them worked so hard together in the races and rewarded for hard work in training over the winter”.
Unfortunately, the ladies team were unable to finish a team in all races and therefore were not rewarded with an overall league position for the season.
