Clopton Park, Stratford-Upon-Avon played host to the 2nd race of the Midland Woman’s league. Ran of the same lap course as the men’s race albeit over two laps but offering an equally challenging task to the Woman.
The race was won by Jenny Nesbitt of Worcester from Claire Martin who had pulled well clear of the field after the first of the two laps
Megan Paynter had a superb run for Tamworth, running well despite a fall to finish in a very respectable 24th place.
Katherine Handley was next home in 77th place followed by Laura Lewis in 90th place and Lisa Stretton in 113th place.
In the team competition, Tamworth Woman finished in a creditable 14th place from the 29 clubs competing.
