The event should have taken place 3 weeks ago but it was cancelled due to the bad weather.

It eventually took place on Wednesday 6 July.

The ground was still not 100% so the course was changed slightly which meant that the race was 2.3 miles and not 2 miles.

Entry was by team, men, women, children, mixed teams of adults, mixed teams of adults and children, mixed teams of children or lastly veterans.

The Tamworth Tiddlers team consisting of Georgina Weal, Emily Pearce, Tegan Vickery and Imogen Mulligan were in the U52 group which meant as a collective amount their ages didn’t add up to more than 52!

It was a tough course because the Tamworth Tiddlers (the name very aptly describes the diminutive size of the four girls) were running with lots of adults and the ground was very uneven.

The Tamworth Tiddlers battled through all adversity to come 10th out of 19 in their age category in a respectable time of 1hr10mins!

At the time of writing the competition for best team name had not been announced.
