As a result of other commitments a reduced field of athletes from Tamworth AC attended the 2^nd match of the Heart of England Div. 2 event at Nunnery Wood Athletics Stadium Worcester. The fine weather inspired good performances from all the athletes.

In the Under 11 Boys competition Ashley Johnson secured 2^nd place in the 75m B  race in 11.7secs, he went on to come 4^th in the 600m B race in 2:09.1mins and in the long jump he finished 5^th with a jump of 3.22m

Johnson’s team mate Luca Bradley came 4^th in the 75m A race with a time of 11.8secs and in the 600m A race his time was 2:01.5mins which gave him 4^th place.

The Under 11 Girls were in action with Daisy Smith claiming 3^rd place in the 600m A race in a time of 2:12.1mins. She also ran in the 75m NS race coming 3^rd in 12.9secs

Saoirse Au came 3^rd in the Long Jump A event jumping 3.3m.

Angelica Ramkee jumped 3.1m in the Long jump B event coming 3^rd.

Newcomer Madison Rose Blencowe gave a good account of herself finishing 4^th in the 600m B race in 2:19.5mins and she came 1^st in the 75m NS race with a time of 12.5secs.

The four under 11 girls took part in the 4 x 100 relay finishing 6^th in 68.4secs

The Under 13 Boys each took part in four events. In the 800m A race Daniel Aston came 7^th in 2:18.6mins, in the Shot Putt B he came an excellent 2^nd with a putt of 4.39m and in the Discus A he came 5^th with a throw of 10.19m.

Kai Buckley ran in the 100m B race coming 4^th in a time of 14.8secs. He also took part in the Long Jump A event finishing 3^rd with a jump of 4.03m. In the Shot Putt A event he also finished 3^rd with a putt of 5.0m.

Oran Au did the 100m B and the 200m A races. In the 100m he came 8^th with a time of 15.2secs and in the 200m he came 5^th in 29.7secs. In the Long Jump B event he came 5^th , jumping 3.53m

Kian Dickinson in the 200m B race came 6^th in 33.6secs, and in the 800m B race he came 5^th in 2:59.0mins. He also took part in the Discus B event with a throw of 10.17m which gave him an excellent 2^nd place.

Aston, Dickson, Buckley and Au ran in the 4 x 100 relay finishing in 5^th place in a time of 61.1secs

The Under 13 Girls team had a strong team of six athletes. Tegan Vickery had a valiant run in the 1500m A race coming 5^th with a time of 5:56.2mins. In the Shot Putt B event she came 7^th with a putt of 3.33m

Niamh Kilgallen had a good day coming 1^st in the 70m  A Hurdles in 11.8secs, 1^st in the 100m A race in 14.4secs and 2^nd in the Long Jump B event, jumping 3.56m

Alice Mason was in the 800m B race finishing 3^rd in 2:51.5mins, in the Discus A event she came 8^th with a throw of 11.2m and in the Shot Putt A event a putt of 5.;57m gave her 5^th place.

In the 200m A race Sian Hubbard came 7^th with a time of 34.4secs, in the Long Jump A event she jumped 3.6m and came 5^th and in the High Jump A event she jumped 1.15m to secure 4^th place.

In the 100m B race Emily Pearce came 4^th with a time of 15.7secs, she also came 4^th in the 800m A race with a time of 2:47.8mins. In the Discus B event she threw 5.18m and came 7^th.

Georgina Weal ran in the 200m B race coming 7^th in 34.3secs and in the 800m NS race she came 3^rd in 3:04.5mins

The Under 13 Girls 4 x 100 relay team of Kilgallen, Vickery, Pearce and Hubbard. Took 5^th place in a time of 62secs

In the under 15 Boys team James Walker in the 200m A race took 7^th place in 30.6secs, in the 800m A race he came 4^th in 2:34.8 and in the Shot Putt A event he came 7^th with a putt of 5.7m

 

Max Kent in the 300m A race came 3^rd with a time of 42.8secs and he came an excellent 2^nd in the 1500m A race with a time of 4:46.3secs. In the Discus B event his throw of 11.41mk secured him 3^rd place.

James Sherriff in the 100m A race came 7^th with a time of 13.5secs, in the 1500m B race he came an excellent 1^st with a time of 4:46.8mins and in the Discus A event his throw of 11.57m gave him 7^th place.

In the Under 15 Girls team, Eve Clawley came 1^st in the 1500m A race in 4:58.5mins, in the 200m A race she came 3^rd in 27.9secs and in the Long Jump A event she came 8^th with a jump of 3.78m

Newcomer Alice Jones (U15) took part in the Discus A event throwing 14.82m to win 5^th place and in the Shot Putt A event she came an excellent 2^nd with a putt of 7.67m

Sian Lewis (U15) in the 100m A race came 7^th with a time of 14.1secs, in the 300m A race she came 6^th with a time of 47.5secs and in the 800m A race she came 6^th with a time of 2:41,0mins.

Andrew Woods (Under 17) ran in the 400m A race coming 3^rd in 57.3secs, in the 1500m A race  he came 4^th in 4:44.7mins and in the Long Jump A event he jumped 4.06m to win 4^th place.

Charlotte Bush (Under 17) came 1^st with a run of 5:13.1mins.

Laura Lewis (Sen) in the 1500m B race came 1^st in 5:59.0mins and 6^th in the Shot Putt A event with a putt of 6.58m
