We have just received reports of Tamworth AC athletes competing in open events. and would like to share them with you.

Brighton Marathon April 17th 2016

Ben Evans V35 took part in the Brighton Marathon not only having a personal best of 2:43:37hours  but out of a field of 1500 runners came 11th. Ben said that he was not back to his best yet after completing the marathon but he hopes to be in reasonable form to take part in the Potter ‘Arf (half Marathon) in Stoke.next Sunday. We hope Ben has a good race min Stoke.

London Marathon 24th April 2016

Tamworth AC stars Dave Williams and Jason George both ran in the London Marathon back in April. Dave in the 55 -59 category  finished in 2:57:49hours and Jason in the 45-49 category had a tough second half to finish in 3:43:50hours.

Charlotte Bush ran in the London Mini Marathon which took place over the last 3 miles of the main marathon course. Charlotte acquited herself well finishing the 3 miles in a personal best time of 18:48mins
