MIDLAND LEAGUE TECHNICAL MEETING – SATURDAY 15 JUNE @ NUNEATON
The Midland League held it’s second annual meeting where all the Clubs in the League enter athletes for events that usually have the fewest entrants.
Tamworth AC had 8 athletes competing in the various events, Max Kent took 38 secs off his PB in the 3000m Steeplechase to finish in 10:33.50. Tom Ainsworth dipped under 48 secs again in the 400m for a new PB of 47.77. Jessica Salt set a PB of 62.50 in the 400m and Lottie McLaren also ran in the 400m finishing in 61.74. Isla Crameri leapt 10.31m in the Triple Jump. We had two ladies in the High Jump, Chloe Purkis cleared 1.40m and Holly Preston 1.30m. Finally the only team member who contested more than one event was Christian Bruss who represented the Club in the Hammer Competition and the 400m.
