Tamworth Athletic Club

Tamworth AC athletes picked up a couple of prizes at the annual Burton and District Summer League presentation evening on Friday night.

Last year’s overall winner, Ben Evans collected the men’s 40 – 49 category winner’s award; with Liam Bradbury of South Derbyshire Road Runners deservingly taking the top overall accolade this time around.

Dale Langley was rewarded for his efforts with second place in the senior men’s category; topping off an excellent year of road running in which he made his marathon debut at London in April.

Nineteen other Tamworth AC athletes competed in one or more league races this season, with Derek Bolton completing the necessary five finishes to claim 6^th place in the men’s 50 – 59 category.
